Sitting here as we start our forth year in business and looking back into 2021 has brought back all sorts of memories and feelings. 2021 was not an easy year for so many. But amidst everything, today we celebrate a new beginning.
At The African Boss, we started 2021 with a new strengthened vision for our primary mission which has always been equipping small businesses with digital tools that help running their digital businesses easier and sharing the journey along the way.
2021 in a nutshell
We have kept our mission and vision by upgrading current WordPress tools and by introducing new tools and products this past year. As a result, we were able to reach over 2000 new businesses mainly in the US and UK through WordPress who are now actively using our tools daily.
We doubled the number of apps we have in the app stores to 10+. After adding 6 new mobile to Apple’s App Store and Google’s Google Play, we were able to add over 1000 installs on both platforms for our own apps and client apps. A number we intend to grow in 2022.
On marketplaces like Gumroad, Freemius and Gura Stores, we were able to add over 1000 downloads in product downloads.
According to Search Console, we reached over 175k+ impressions in Google Search and over 5000+ links clicks from people searching for our tools, products or services.
According to Google Analytics, over 20k+ people accessed our main website and over 5k+ more on other secondary websites.

But that’s not all that happened this past year. We continued working on Social Cane, an app that will help you create daily social media content consistently in minutes and are happy to say that we will be launching our MVP soon.

Plans for 2022
As we embark on this new journey in 2022, the primary mission remains the same. We will keep on equipping small businesses with digital tools that help running their digital businesses easier and sharing the journey along the way.
With Social Cane launching soon, we will be able to update everyone on our social media faster and consistently this year and we hope that it will help all of you that will have access to it do the same for your social media audiences.
We are currently working on a tool that will allow SMS ordering and notifications paired with Cash App, Venmo and Zelle that will be coming in 2022. And we hope to integrate features like subscriptions and recurrent orders that will help bring in more recurrent revenues for online stores working using our tools.
Well, a lot more will happen this year, and I hope that you will be part of it.
